About Us

Strategic Recovery Solutions is Houston's Leading Source of Peer Specialist Training

Our Mission

Our mission is quite simple: to educate, empower and equip every individual about addiction and mental health recovery and provide a peer based recovery support system.

Who Better?

We envision a community that exposes stigma and understands addiction as an illness not a person. Therefore those in recovery from substance and mental health can strategically reach their full potential being free from stigma.

Our team of Peer Specialist are experiencing an enhanced quality of life, which contributes to a combination of 50 years plus of living free from a substance use disorder. We chose to serve, support, mentor, and advocate for others whose journey of recovery has yet to begin. We come from all walks of life and have chosen different paths of recovery. We focus on the long-term benefits of having someone who has lived experience to join us on this journey of recovery.

We know that individuals are the expert of their own lives so we strategically work with them as partners on a wellness plan and assist them with removing barriers to accomplish their goals on a holistic approach because recovery is individualized. We are advocates of respect, hope, and providing a person-driven and trauma-free approach. Our role is to do no harm and walk with them along the way.

This is the foundation that champions are built on to reach their full potential.

Our Foundation: Evidence-Based

Peer support trainers are individuals who have been successful in the recovery process who help others experiencing similar situations. Through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment, peer support trainers also help individuals become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of recurrence of use. Peer support services can effectively extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment for those seeking a successful, sustained recovery process.
